03 Aug ASEAN-BAC Malaysia Webinar 2021: Thriving in the face of Pandemic
Kuala Lumpur, 3 August 2021 – The ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) has been established for a decade and aims to recognise outstanding key enterprises that have contributed significantly to the ASEAN region. The ABA was conceived to be the first of its kind in the region, with the dual objectives of recognising outstanding ASEAN enterprises and serving as a platform to escalate information concerning the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In addition, ABA also brings to the spotlight promising ASEAN small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have the potential of becoming global economic players.
The COVID-19 pandemic continues to ravage the business community with numerous lockdown and Movement Control Orders (MCOs) across the region. Most, but not all, MSMEs are struggling to overcome the crisis, and yet they are also businesses that are innovative and have thrived despite the unprecedented onslaught of the pandemic.
Last year, Airestec Innovations Sdn Bhd (AISB) was one of the eight (8) Malaysian enterprises and entrepreneurs that were honoured at the ASEAN Business Awards 2020. There are seven categories of awards including Priority Integration Sectors (Healthcare) Award, SME Excellence (Innovation) Award, Combating COVID-19 Award, Young Entrepreneur Award, Inclusive Business Award, Women Entrepreneur Award and lastly Family Business Award. AISB was awarded SME Excellence (Innovation) Award.
In conjunction with the launch of ASEAN Business Awards (ABA) 2021, this event is held to encourage greater participation of the SMEs especially from our homeland, Malaysia in the ABA 2021 by recognising Malaysian ABA 2020 winners to share their winning formula that sustains their business during this challenging time.
