Airestec was invited to participate as a speaker and panel contributor at the 10th Microbiome R&D and Business Collaboration Congress: Asia, organised by Global Engage in partnership with the Singapore National Biofilm Consortium (SNBC) under Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

At the congress, Airestec shared practical observations on how HVAC and air-conditioning systems influence indoor microbial environment risk, particularly when maintenance is neglected. The session focused on how biofilm growth within poorly maintained systems can contribute to increased microbial load in indoor air, with direct implications for occupant health, comfort, and long-term building performance. Real-world site observations and case experiences were used to illustrate how contamination often originates at the system level rather than on visible surfaces alone.

In addition to the presentation, Airestec was invited to take part in a panel discussion that explored both the opportunities and risks of microbiome innovation. The discussion covered how microbial science can support more sustainable use of resources, contribute to climate resilience, improve public health outcomes, and why cross-sector partnerships and practical policy support are essential in translating research into real-world impact aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
